Lozells Community Initiative is seeking to appoint a Sessional
Project Manager and a Sessional Project Officer for its Heritage Lottery funded project ‘Journey from Bangladesh to Birmingham’

 

 

Position: Sessional Project Manager

Salary: £9.00per Hour. 12 Hours per week

Hours of work: 12 Hours per week regular start and finish times to be arranged. Some flexible working hours in evenings and weekends.

 

Description of Job: Project Manager required for our new oral history heritage project. The post is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund for two years. The aim of the project is to record the oral history of early settlers from Bangladesh to Birmingham. The project will end with a drama reflecting the findings throughout the project.

 

Ability to manage volunteers is essential. You will require a high level of communication skills must have good planning and organising skills and be able to solve problems. Other skills required include prioritising work load and flexibility. Must be able to speak in Bengali.

Desirable experience includes experience of heritage interpretation as well as work with community groups and schools.

Closing Date: 19th October 2012 5pm. Interviews will be held on 25th October 2012.

Hours of work: 10 Hours per week regular start and finish times to be arranged. Some flexible working hours in evenings and weekends.

You will be required to travel and make home visits. Ability to manage volunteers is essential. You will require a high level of communication skills must have good planning and organising skills. Must be able to speak in Bengali. Desirable experience includes experience of heritage interpretation as well as work with community groups and schools.

Closing Date: 19th October 2012 5pm. Interviews will be held on 26th October 2012.
